    How worried are you?

Is everyone still papping themseleves about this recession then? Or are people starting to calm down now?

    Are things getting better?

My gig finishes in 11 weeks, and this is the first time ever I've been aware of an end date so far in advance (normally I dont give a crap until about 4 weeks before it's due to end).

It's fair to say that I'm a bit nervous, and a tad anxious about the next gig...for once I'm not thinking location and rate, but instead I'm thinking "please god let me get another gig".

I dont know if this is rational thinking, or wheter I've just spent too much time listening to you lot panic.

So....how are all you lot feeling about stuff?

Well now I've gone permie I feel this strange sense of job secuirty .. only j/k.

Actually was never that worried, had enough in reserve to last a couple of years if needs be, I just wanted to be working and the market is pretty rubbish in London and I thought wtf, just go permie for a year and pick a good un that advance my skillset and that I think I'd enjoy.

My only regret is not looking at permie roles sooner.

London, got a young family so working elsewhere wasn't really an option.

                  Feeling positive. Change=good.

Does anyone recall what happened after the last recession? Did the contract market boom before the rest of the economy?

I hardly struggled during that one - don't think they're apples and apples, if you catch my drift.
