Glasgow - good or bad

IMO, opinion the whole of Scotland is the most grey, drab, miserable place on earth. And the weather is tulipe too.

I stay in East Ren too, would never think about moving back to the west end again. Where are you going to park?

I stay in the bit where if you phone 999 you don't get the police, it's the Israeli Defence Force that pick up. Grew up in Netherlee, I am resisting all attempts the gf makes to get me to move to the West End.

I've worked in Glasgow twice on fairly long term projects.

On both occasions I stayed in a village near Strathaven. I prefer to not reside on the doorstep of the client.

The architecture in the city is fantastic(If you look higher than the shop windows.).

Great places to eat and socialise.

Some of the "Neds" can be twats though.

As others have said, same problems as any other big city.

Also if you're up there for the odd weekend travel out to the west coast! The scenery can be breathtaking!

Anyway, I admit the weather in Glasgow may be pretty grim sometimes and a good few months of the year you are pretty much confined to indoors but in the summer it all changes. If you get a good weekend you can be in Loch Lomond in 15 minutes, largs in 45 minutes, millport in 1:20, Arran in 2:00, Oban in 2:30 and Pitlochry in 3:00. There are dozens of great places on your doorstep.

Or you can just get tanked up on buckie and go down looking for a scrap with the local young team.

Lovely people in Glasgow but the weather - I spent a whole "summer" working there, May to August, and I can see why many jocks turn to drink and other "comfort" foods.
