Read it in the Telegraph this morning and meant to post a link.

While I agree with Parky 100% he should not have said anything. The less she is spoken of the better. Unless it will stop other chavs from becoming popular in the future.

Nor have I. There are kids in my daughter's school who aspire to be a celebrity like her, or Vickie Pollard. They're carefully developing the personality. They are a complete pain in the @rse in class...

This is utter lazy, opinionated garbage by Parky if you ask me.

          a) Jade was certainly not "exploited till the day she died". What a load of tulipe. She had the sense to make the absolute best of her situation (before AND after the cancer) to make as much cash as she could. How on earth is that her being exploited?

          b) "brought up on a sink estate" - as someone who was also brought up on a council estate I utterly ******* despise this comment.

          c) She was never seen as a "slapper" in her big brother days at all. It's not as if she shagged in the house (although there was that possible wank - hardly slapper territory though)

          d) Saying that Jade represented "all that's paltry and wretched about Britain today" - what's that then Micheal? The uneducated, celebrity obsessed masses? Like the people who've kept you in a job for the last ******* 40 years?

          ******* tool.

So what did she ever actually do?

From memory of the tabloids at the time, she was.

You need to ask yourself how someone with no talents whatsoever could become a "celebrity" and what that says about the state of the country.

Secondly in your opinion is she a good role model for other girls in "sink" estates?
                  Hard Brexit now!

                    Ditto.

                    What was her talent exactly?

I feel sorry for her children that she's gone, and can't critisise her for making as much as she could for them from her death, but I personally found the whole thing a bit cringy and morbid - the modern day equavalent of going along to the hangings ...

The whole media obsession, and public obsession with watching her die. Kind of exemplified one of the things that's not great in our society these days.

And let's be honest, she was no saint, who was being publicy villified (Again, probably undeserevd just how much so) for being a bully until she found out she had cancer.

As someone who was also brought up on a council estate, I have nothing against that, but if you don't move off it and advance on your own steam, then I don't much care but I don't want to see you as an icon.

You're right about one thing though: Parkinson criticises people today who are, in his words, famous for nothing but being famous. He doesn't seem to think that that describes him to a T.
