This lot are not socialists - they don't give a toss about the people.
I agree I would rather risk the odd bomb than be spied on while going about my business. We didn't need all this when the IRA were attacking us so why do we need it now?
Having said that, every time someone is on the telly being asked for their views on the latest stomp of the jackboot they say "well, if you've got nothing to hide ...." so I guess we get what we deserve.
