    How do I RSVP a wedding invite.

    Been invited to a wedding.

    Told my mate I'd go before he even sent the invite. Question is do I have to send a letter to the bride (her name/address is in the invite) or can I just not bother.

    I know they know I am coming but will the bride hate me and stab me with a wedding related implement if I don't tow the line and respond as pleasantries dictate.

    Also how would I word it. Me being me would just put. "Hi Guys, thanks for the invite. Of course I'll come as long as you keep a bridesmaid free for me". Something tells me that isn't going to cut it.

    Not having a better half (the blokes default source of info on these matters) I'm having to google it but that isn't working out too well.

    Get your pimp to phone up and tell her you got a better gig.

      You can get acceptance cards for this sort of thing. I would send one of those - they're having a wedding so they believe in the "tradition".

        I would say deluded into thinking it'll help pacify their insecurities!

        Right...acceptance card. Wonder if Tesco sell them.

          Just check the invite and see if there is a little acceptance card in with it - as it is the fashion these days to send out invitations with a reply card.

          Otherwise,
          just buy a blank card with a flower or something 'pretty' on the front and write inside:-

          Thanks for the wedding invitation I would love to come

          <Your name here>

          And post it to the address on the invite.

          Its just good manners to reply to a formal invite and the Bride will like it.
          I'm sorry, but I'll make no apologies for this
