I have been asked to send you all an update on behalf of El Duder. I met him on a contract 2yrs ago in the big smoke, and he told me about his alterego on this forum, - after i told him i registered recently.

He has tried to login but cannot access the forum as he has been banned, apparently without a reason and that the ban is set to never be lifted by the admins. He doesnt want to re-register under any other name, other than El Duder.

He wishes you all the best, and says hes doing well, he is living in permie land temporarily until the market recovers and is due to be engaged to be married!!?

Excuse me? I think that's a bit out of order EO. I do find most of your posts entertaining, but I'm taking that statement as a personal insult.

Well done to wobbegong for spotting the logic error in DPs reply. When it comes to the natural languages most of us probably tend to read what we think is being said rather than what is said. Or sometimes what we want something to say. Natural languages are highly ambiguous and were it not the case we would likely have to use some less powerful and more rigorous form of communication instead. And not legal speak, which is a nightmare that only complicates IMO. I once did a short course in linguistics and I recall a seemingly clear and innocuous sentence that actually had about 7 different meanings, but that's about all I recall, perhaps someone could dig something up. Pronouns certainly cropped up.

If the comment was a genuine tongue in cheek statement, then fair enough. However, I cannot accept it as such at face value. I don't want to get EO into trouble with the mods as he is is a valuable contributor on this site. However, his comment cannot go without some retraction or apology.

Because that thread was based on fact. I've also had bad experience with Indian Outsourcing companies. I see EO's post as something that is not fact.

How could EO's post be taken personally? Does he know anything more about you than what's posted on here? Was his comment aimed at you specifically?
