You've seen the shoot pics already?"Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny. "
Thomas Jefferson -
A really weird thing happened to me once. I used to work in a warehouse and had a key and the alarm code. One night, I suddenly woke up because I'd just "deleted" the alarm code from my memory. I knew that I'd done it. My brain must have been having a clear out and must have been asking me, subconsciously, if I wanted to keep this bit and that bit and I must have gone, "Yeah, dump that" and then realised my mistake.Originally posted by TimberWolf View PostA healthy mind clears its garbage and forgetting is a useful and necessary function.
It was exactly like when you delete a file and then go, "D'oh! I needed that one."
Anyway, sure enough, I had completely forgotten the alarm code, which I'd been using every working day for about two years. I went in the next day, thinking I'd figured it out after racking my brains half the night, but I got it wrong and the alarm went off and the security company came out and everything.

Charlie Statham on breakfast this morning was funny when interviewing her. Talking about the Nuts proposal he said "Well why not go the whole hog for women's empowerment and do the shoot"?

yes but that doesn't necessarily make one intelligent eitherOriginally posted by sasguru View PostHave to agree with the OP that recall of facts does not make one intelligent.
The ability to be logical and problem solve (both with machines and people) is far more important.

Well, the dictionary definition of intelligence is:
a. The capacity to acquire and apply knowledge.
b. The faculty of thought and reason.
c. Superior powers of mind.
c sounds good. Is that stuff like bending spoons and that?Comment

She looks exactly like you would expect a spod to look. Greasy hair, bespecticled, dour.
Well done, now put the kettle on love, and put on some bloody make-up.The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment

I'm just pointing out many people like to adhere to sterotypes. The bookworm as much as the Bimbo. The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
