You concentrate on the negative, what about Blairs legacy: the liberation of Iraq, the war on poverty, action on climate change, a strong period of sustained economic growth. Want to go back to Norman Lamont and the boom/bust cycle ? John Major sh*gging Edwina Currie ? Margaret Thatcher.

Oh no, we need more socialism, free and fast hospital treatment. State schools, more government, higher taxes. Especially for those high earning tax dodgers who steal money from the poor to snort up their noses. Oh yes, oh yes.

          .
Boom Bust Cycle , please dont makeme laugh, weve just had a boom cycle on that back of a credit bubble and unsustainable house price boom, whilst exporting our jobs overseas.

Hardly a period of strong economic growth in my book.

And now for the bust ... you dont need a crystal ball to see that coming.

The Liberation of Iraq ... well , what have you been smoking boyo ????

AJP you need to educate yourself on the definition of boom and bust. A boom is a period of sustained growth in GDP, whereas a bust is well see for your self:

Lets have bigger busts then JW.

Still lets see the shape of Blairs Britain in say one years time from now, I predict much wailing and a considerable gnashing of teeth ...

Cameron is too young, Clarke is the best, but the guy who will win will have to have backing of Thatcher, apparently.

I know you are taking the p1ss JW, but we should all just consider how seriously Tony Blair takes action on climate change:

                  1. Blair sent that idiot Prescott to represent the UK at the international climate conferences. Would you?

                  2. Blair agreed to everything demanded at Kyoto, leaving the USA as the only country that had to make significant cuts. If you were Clinton or Bush, would you sign up to that?

                  3. Blair has discovered since Kyoto that the UK cannot even achieve its own small targets (God knows how the americans were supposed to manage), so Blair unilaterally changed the UK target to something easier.

                  4. Blair's only interest in alternative energy sources seems to be (a) sticking inefficient windmills everywhere over the countryside and (b) decommissioning our far more efficient nuclear power stations.

                  5. Blair spends more time flying around than any other major leader bar Bush, and far more than any other British prime minister before him. With air travel pinpointed as a major contributor to air polution, that isn't the kind of example to set. Perhaps he could spend a bit more time in the UK.

In summary, he has been fecking useless.

Clinton would sign up, Bush won't because those who finance him don't want to make ANY cuts regardless of whether other countries make them or not.

In all fairness just look at typical US cars -- huge inefficient engines that don't even use diesel, I mean here 10-15 mpg would be made by M5 of which there will be made 1-5k, but in the USA 10-15 mpg is like typical car!

I am all for progress even if it hits environment, but using crap technology that wastes AND pollutes so much is just not right.
