A lot of the more thought provoking and original posters seem to have tired of this esteemed place long ago (e.g. where's MarillionFan?).

Too much yapping without any thought or wit. Posting for the sake of posting or postcount.

Too many regurgitated Daily Mail (or equiv.) articles and attitudes.

And before you all start, I'm as guilty as the next cucker.

I am a little bit to be honest.

That whole farce about the Survey made me loose all actual respect for the site itself - which I used to hold in quite high regard.
I think they're probably getting massive back handers from various accountancies and agencies - which is such a betrayal..

Can't help you with the rest but the above is utter rubbish. I maintain the main site as well as this one and have all the IP addresses of the voters and made sure there was no funny business. I think the site editor said the same just after the poll when a few other users cried foul.

I could say more but I think I would get slapped. All I can say is that the end of year vote is not rigged, we had the highest response ever and the responses were thoroughly checked for cheats using IP address and cookie tracking.

Even though I only joined a couple of years ago I was a regular lurker before that.

I have to admit that there are a lot fewer interesting threads / discussions going on whether related to contracting, business, politics, sport etc.

I suppose we all need to take our share of the blame and responsibility and decide what direction we want this site to take.

If we don't rekindle the interest and reason we all started using this site then the more interesting of you guys and gals will just end up moving on...and that would be really sad.
