Beyond 2 years

I've had a contract now with the same end client for nearly two years. I work under an umbrella company which say that I can't work for the same client longer than 24 months or I will not be able to claim expenses.
What are my options? The end clients wants to keep me and would offer me a permenant job but can't pay me the money.
Could I just simply work for a different umbrella company or go down the ltd route?
How long a break do I need to take? Could I just take a 2 week holiday then go back?
