And regarding the OP, I used Paddy Power who have a surprisingly good finance operation.
I'm not sure on long term plays, but check them out they offer a demo.
Word of advice - remain focused, it is easy to get carried away with spreads and that can be dangerous. I closed my account some time ago.....
    Bored.

Barclays, BP and going long on Brent Crude are extremely attractive.
You think? I'm long oil but not optimistic on the short term, although long/mid looks nailed for $75 per barrel.

Agree - anywhere offering 12 month contracts on them is worth looking at.

BP should fluctuate this week - but longer term they will also gain.

The sick thing? I was going to go into a CFD for x10 the value lol - which would have got me back 210,000k in a matter of 15 days. Ahh well! hindsight...Longer term I beleive Barclays has the opp to get back toi over £4 but Im keeping a close eye on there next set of Interims - but this baby could make a lot of people some decent cash. But again - life is a risk
You made £21k in 15 days??? You lucky F***ER!!! How much did you risk if you don't mind me asking.

I turned around a 14k profit on Barclays within the week. I bought in at 48 and had previously been in at 73, sold out around 106.

Bought another 10k worth yesterday at 96, but now floating at 90. I still think longterm its a winner.

Just wondering what other options are available.
What happens in General, stays in General.

In fairness I did attempt to share the wealth lol - I posted it on here before I was "in".

Risk? £4230 on the stop loss :-) SO yes there was an element of risk but I had a very confident feeling it wasnt going to go down further.

Hmmm good question...the place I use doesnt do ETF's but I am sure in the wider community of trading there may be?

                      Cheers Liability.

I know very little about spread betting but does "£4230 on the stop loss" mean that it would automatically sell if your shares got to -£4230? OR you put up £4230 in the first place?

                      and secondly

Do you have the same very confident feeling it wasnt going to go down further about BP?

                      Cheers
