Funny. I'm laughing too. I've been on the end of it.

Now get on with your life and thank God that it's better than his must be

PS if it gets to be a real nuisance, you can get something done, legally.

WHS and thank your lucky stars you're not called Tony Upjohn.

(I'm sorry to any Upjohns I may have called in the middle of the night when I was a student)

Find a bunch of 16-year-old chavs lurking on a street corner and offer to buy them beer if they keep phoning him.

18+ for alcohol dear boy. You've just advocated committing a criminal act on a public forum.

              Actually, probably several criminal acts.
Offering to supply alcohol to underage minors.
Enticement to committ harassment on a member of the public using an age-proscribed product...blah blah blah.

It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

100 cards - stick them in phone boxes around victoria and kings cross - escort services - job done and would only cost a max of £10 and your time.

put an ad in a paper or exchange and mart or some well known free car sales guide selling a car at around 3000 below the asking price with the telephone number [this one is as you can get upto 300 calls over a few days]

in Loot stick an odd for a brand new fone at £75 below the asking price with the number [again this one can get alot of calls]

of course all this is for entertainment purposes only and not to be used literally.

The problem with "revenge" is that it can have unintended consequences.

You assume that the number you captured was this man's home number.

Suppose he was visiting friends ?

Suppose it's his mum's phone and he was visiting her ? She's 84 and has acute angina and high blood pressure. Is it fair that she gets pestered ?

Suppose it IS his home number, but his 84 year old mum lives with him, and he works during the day, leaving her to answer the phone ?

Forget it and move on. (I suspect you have already)

collateral damaga is acceptable. Also - it would be pretty easy to determine if it was a mobile and to also call it a few times to see if the same person picks it up.

The real question is "is it worth it?" - probably not in this case as he was just being a twat. If it happened over a few days however than that would require further thought to just give back some medicine.

                      I'm afraid that's flawed.

If it is a mobile, perhaps this fella shares with someone else ?
If it is a static number, then other people may live at the address. Young / old / vulnerable people.

Pandering to one's revenge is a slippery slope indeed. Just move on.
