This might not be all that bad..
The chaps in there are generally SC cleared with good skills (java/unix/virtualisation) and those skills with SC are screaming at the moment. So the chances are that a good chunk of them will say cheers I'll see your contract termination and be at my next job in 4 weeks time actually taking more money home with me...
So then poor old Crappy G or FJS will be left to go hunt some more contractors at lower rates...
Might let some new blood into the system from the bench...
