Could you see the French or Spanish just sitting back and accepting this situation in their countries? Imagine a barge full of english workers sitting off the coast of France doing French jobs while the French sat at home unemployed!!

If they are prepared to work for the same rates as the Poles, then by all means, give em first refusal.
