    Snot Goblin; not my fault!

    Linkywinky;

Snot Goblin said today that the recession now gripping Britain was unlike any others since the Great Depression, caused not by domestic economic mismanagement but by a "complete market failure" set off by the sub-prime crisis in the United States.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

If I repeat it enough times, people will believe it is the truth.

        Repeat after me.

It's not my fault, I am not to blame.
Britain is in the best shape to recover from this subprime derived downturn.
It is caused by Americans selling dodgy mortgages.
I am the best man to see Britain through this.

I'm confused - didn't he say the City is the
"new world leader" when he was Chancellor ?

          What a banker.

I do find it amusing that when things were "going well" (in his eyes), it was solely down to him - yet as soon as things go wrong it is out of his control.

            Typical politician.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? - Epicurus

Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

              I preferred version 1!

Tony, where can I send an invoice for a new monitor Sir ? (coffee incident)

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

                C.S. Lewis

I heard a news item on the BBC yesterday saying that the city has lost confidence in Brown. But I haven't heard it repeated so it might not be true.

(Or it might just be the BBC being reminded of their responsibilities.)
