You mean - give the land back to Jordan, Syria and Egypt?

Let the Palestinians control there own airspace, land and sea borders.

Reach a generous cash settlement with the displaced refugees still stuck in camps so that they can start a real life without feeling like they are owed something from Israel.

    Free all Palestinian prisoners.

I guess that's what I would want if I was in the same boat as the Palestinians.
But what you are failing to take into account is that the Palestinians (or at least their leaders) want the total destruction of Israel - not that ability to live a normal prosperous life.

OK, Assume the hamas rockets stop, what exactly would israel do to bring this conflict to an end? I honstly dont think Israel believes it owes anything to the Palestinian people. They act no different than Hamas, in that they would be quite happy for the complete oppression of the Palestinians and have no interest in allowing an independant state of Palestine to exist in peace.

Peace with palestine involves compromise from israel and them giving up Land and/or Money to the palestinians in order for them to create a nation for their people.

I believe success as far as Israel is concerned is cripple Hamas so rockets stop and then its business as usual, leave the Palestinians to their squalor and opression and pretty much ignore them!

The real solution would be for them all to grow up and learn to live with each other and stop seeing their neighbours as Jews or Arabs but as equal human beings. That way the Palestinians wouldn’t be crushed into a tiny strip of land that can’t support so many people and the Israelis wouldn’t have rockets falling on their houses.

And how do we make that happen? If anyone can work that out, then there really would be a solution.

WE can't. That's why I said that the rest of the world should stop paying so much attention to them. They're like three year olds; throwing all their toys out the prams for the sake of attention. Give them attention and they'll just do it again and again and again.

I think its nigh on impossible to just turn you back on the deaded little children, when you have protests worldwide at the loss of innocent life, you can't just turn your back.

the US has a LOT to answer for for the latest violence, without their support for israel, Israel would never have the balls to have done what they have in the last 3 weeks.

It's bloody awful I know, but I also don't believe it'll ever be solved.

Well, I think thats a consequence of the illegitimate Zionist dream isnt it? The only hope for that to change is for the Palestinian people to live a quality of life such that they figure its not worth fighting the injustice of the original land grab anymore.
