So what would happen at work if you had Off shore Indians, for example, onsite and you said "oh those pakis are useless". Even though you didnt mean it and its common to call all brown people pakis.

Your feet wouldnt touch the floor - regardless of if the rest of the contractor and permie crew thought and said the same.......the point is - DONT say stuff like this - already this has escalated and you got every group and race relation now calling for him to be even sacked.

If you say it and are overheard then you deserve to pay the price. You can't get sacked for your thoughts, but surely thinking something racist and saying it in a conversation are equal in rank.
If somebody comes along three years later though with evidence they want to use just to try to destroy your reputation, then the person releasing that evidence also has a lot to answer for in my opinion. It's water under the bridge and people should move on IMO.

Makes you wonder why the evidence has only just come to light now[*]. Is there some bad news to try and bury? Or Is it a Government leak, to try and discredit the Army or the Royal Family?

Snotty is very vindictive, as we saw only a couple of weeks ago when a few bishops piped up about his shortcomings and a day or two later the Government started muttering about disestablishing the C of E.
