I only know BASF from their cassette tapes in the 80's, why do they advertise to the mass market now when their current products are hidden or embedded in other brands products?

Maybe they should stop wasting money on adverts for a start.

IIRC, wasn't ammnonia used in VX nerve gas, which the Germans developed during WWI (WW1) ?

It's not so much the products themselves more the assurance of self reliance. Something like: if push comes to shove we can make whatever we need out of the thin air if needs be.

Hopefully Darmstadt will be in on this to give us the proper German saying.
