I also loved Seville

And surely Granada, if you're in the area

Cordoba for the mosque.
Sevilla for the Jewish quarter.
Granada for the Alhambra.

Venice.
Macchu Picchu.
Cairo.
Fes.
Stonehenge.

And I believe that sometime in their lives, everybody should go somewhere where nobody they know can find them. Then savour the thought of keeping it that way.

I travelled from Tokyo to Hiroshima (lovely but the museum depresses the hell out of you)

Nara is god for lots of temples
Tokyo great night life and fun city
Kyoto has a more traditional feel to it, but again cracking night life, the locals are great, a bunch of us got taken to a karaoke bar (a la lost in translation) by some "salarymen" who we met in a pub, they paid for all our drinks and food!

Japanese love westerners, but be prepared it is a hell of a culture shock.

I hope to go back there this year for the cherry blossom festival.

I'd love to go there. I worked for Mitsubishi for a while and was hoping for a trip out there to HQ, but the UK arm of the division I worked for was canned before I got chance.
