Didn't we have this very same conversation at least two or three years ago, where I seem to recall using the phrase "Big Boy's Toy"?Originally posted by bogeyman View Post.. What does SKA offer (and continue to offer) to an investor?
Bugger all as far as I can see.
Any patents?
So AtW, what has advanced since then? What progress have you made in the business model?Work in the public sector? Read the IR35 FAQ hereComment

Zer good one.Originally posted by OwlHoot View PostWhat progress have you made in the business model?
Come on bogey name a number - would £10 mln be considered a business success for an immigrant who came to this country?

Because your question is meaningless.Originally posted by AtW View PostDo you act like a moron when you attach absolute numbers to the rate you quote to your prospective clients? It seems to me it is fairly easy to come up with some minimal figure that would be a measure of success: I'd say for me it would include:
a) nice good big house (no morgage obviously)
b) a couple of decent cars
c) enough money in the bank for interest income to allow living (a bit tough now with low interest rates).
All in all £1 mln seems like a fairly successful figure, though I personally think that any small business owner selling their business for £250-500k has achieved success.
You did not answer my simple question but I am not suprised actually.
Ok. If you are valued at £1m then obviously that is 'successful' to YOU.
If, say, a high-street chain of cosmetic shops were valued at only £1m that would probably be disastrous.
You cannot apply the same considerations to all businesses.
I doubt anybody would value your business and £1m or anything like it - especially when they see how you carry on in this forum.Last edited by bogeyman; 3 January 2009, 18:14.
You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

I asked your view on what you would consider level of success for me so that you will no longer say I am bad at economics, investment, programming etc.Originally posted by bogeyman View PostOk. If you are valued at £1m then obviously that is 'successful' to YOU.
Fine, so £1 mln then would be the success threshold that exceeds your expectations? Or £2 mln? Or £5 mln?Originally posted by bogeyman View PostI doubt anybody would value your business and £1m or anything like it - especially when they see how you carry on in this forum.Comment

I think you should seriously consider what would people say when they see how you carry on in this forum. This is not a question of difference of opinions, your behavior is designed to insult (rather than humour) and frankly not worthy of a gentleman.Originally posted by bogeyman View Postespecially when they see how you carry on in this forum.
Would you post link to your company website, your real name and photo here?
