I'm saving up to go. If I was younger and could start a new career I'd go now anyway but I'm too old to start from scratch somewhere else and retire comfortably.

I wanted to go to France but that's looking more and more impossible with the Euro rate.

If I hadn't had got divorced, twice, I'd have gone years ago.

I've lived in NL for 15 years and I always missed the UK until about a year ago, when I visited a few times and was turned off by the gross materialism, yucky bling bling culture and the chavs. Those last visits really made me see how good life is in NL.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

I've spent some time with a friend who lives near Maastricht. I would much prefer to be there than here, that for sure...

We're saving up now and thinking of emigrating in the next five years or so.

We were thinking of Japan (my wife's home country) but will have to watch the economy and see how things go there. NHK business forecasts are just as bleak as the BBC's these days and recently contractors have been loosing their contracts on mass. Across the country, 1,000s have been put on the bench, so many it made headline news on NHK.

Either way we're definately going somewhere.

So question - Why dont these people go to another country than?
                      I'm doing it.

                      Why are you still here?
The visa application process for Oz takes a while.

If you know so much about this economy and the fact its doomed go elsewhere?
                      See above.
