And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

Regardless what you think about homosexuality in general, scientific studies show the nature of the parental unit is very influential, a gay couple bringing up a child is just not normal. Men and women are NOT the same.

Playing devil's advocate, everyone is very quick to shout "of course gay people should have all the rights of straight people"... but why? Do we simply follow the "no absolute right or wrong, if it hurts nobody it's OK" argument?

          Indeed. Sad really isn't it?

If religion was really about choice, freedom and happiness, the world might be a good place!

Don't apologise. It's been an interesting thread.

Perhaps he could educate us! Perhaps he could do this when he explains about the differences between a civil partnership and a marriage.

Oh dear. I'm getting old and gardening is a pastime for the middle-aged like me, not the young, thrusting metrosexuals we have here.

                      Let me explain.

If you have a PLANT and you want to make another PLANT from it, you can cut away part of the original PLANT and put it in compost. With a bit of care and attention both PLANTS will grow into identical PLANTS. Then you have two PLANTS. This is called taking a cutting.

Now, from the above we can see that PLANTS can reproduce by someone taking a cutting. I said assgrow can reproduce by taking a cutting. Therefore I am implying that assgrow is a PLANT.

If there anything further you need to know try

It is specific to a particular type of cutting that I think might be pertinent. Semi-ripe cuttings. It's where the wood is all soft and sappy!
