At a time when the pound's going down the pan , it's a bit rich to be talking about another currency falling apart and "weaker economies".
Still, could be that the Swiss Franc takes over by default?

I can actually put a precise start date on this event as my next (Euro paid) invoice will be submitted at the end of this month and paid around 7 January 2009 into my Sterling account. So, expect the Euro to plummet disasterously on the 6th.

Close call, but I just made it. Got my Euros through into my Sterling account a couple of days ago. Not quite the peak rate, but a fair few quid better than if it had gone through today.
