You live in your own little bitter twisted world. One of my best friends is from Asian descent, but he's as Scottish as me and has a broader accent than me. I'm even reluctant to mention Asian descent, because that's stereotyping him and I've never done that and he'd most probably tell you to go take a flying f**k for typecasting him as black.

I've said it before; you have a chip on your shoulder and I've better things to do than bait a clown. You're boring me now.
    Sorry don't watch Big Brother..

Not me doing the typecasting...I'm gratified that you don't regard him as black. I don't consider any of my Chinese/Pakistani et al friends as Black. ..Though they have told me that they have been called that in the past.

Just the other day I was walking past a Asian grocers and some man commented on the parking of another. He called him a "Black Bastard"

The term is pretty widely used...feel lucky dude.

Oh well...My wife also tells me I bore her and she going to get another when she's rid me of all my money.

So where does the fault lie here? Would it not have been better if Police had followed procedure to help the chances of a conviction (and be seen to be fair to the accused)?

They needed to find evidence..They had none. Last time I checked that makes one innocent. (or very clever). The only tie in is the relationship and money. And the jury didn't believe he knew about anything or where the money was going.

I'm sure jacqui smith will save us and come up with a way to convict the man.

Who brought racism into this? It was nothing of the kind.

yes - that same Jaqui Smith who doesn't think there's any problem with not being able to walk around alone after dark.

Lesson is to remain silent and demand lawyer to be present.

It's common practice (acceptable) for police to bluff and pretend they know more than they do, so long as they don't lie in court its fine. If this wasn't the case then the Prisoner's dilemma wouldn't even be known.

So long as the courts are independent and jury is honest this will keep police in check.

This is a good point. They can lie as much as they want during interview : and they do.
