I'm mearly explaining that each makes a decision based on their own circumstances. You are proud to be British, so am I, but I also believe that my family will have a better standard of life in another country and my child will have more opportunities if we move. To say that I should not be allowed to return to this country if, as a British passport holder, I decide to, is what really got me a little offside.
Well, it's not that far from saying people who claim benefits for too long should banished/transported to Australia, for example. Which they used to do.

Which would be a major incentive for claiming benefits.

I agree with that too. Well put. I am proud to be British, and proud of the British (people, not government). That doesn't stop me looking at the country, looking at others, and looking at my life. Of, and speaking up.

I'm going for mid-table respectability. Perhaps a push for Europe. But definitely not relegation.
          Bored.

No, if you're going to paraphrase me, please get it right.

I said "When I hear people say that it's time to leave the UK, it makes me sick to my stomach." - not when people complain.

And I said people who leave "during this country's time of need" shouldn't be allowed to return. The country has never needed people to stay before - anyone who has already left is fine. And anyone who leaves once the place is back on it's feet is ok too. I'm all for the free world and travelling round etc etc
But people who leave this country, in it's greatest time of financial need (especially the top earners like we get on this forum), they shouldn't be allowed to return. It's akin to desertion to me - I dont know how people can't see that.
              The pope is a tard.

Yep, but how many will stil be top earners in 12 months time?

Maybe you're right and it is desertion, but in all honesty, I couldn't give a toss.

                    Probably still all of them.
