I would accept the extension but agree 2-3 weeks off to sit on the bench,
this might clear my mind and remind me of what the bench feels like again!.

good luck badger, don't let the bench bugs bite .

Good luck - Maybe use this time to find a wife?

Second thoughts, just a contract will do!

You would be mad to leave now, Christmas and the recession are both coming, you could be benched for years. Bite hard and swallow and stick it out.

Only a masochist would stay in a gig he hated, just to earn a bit more dosh. Think about your mental health and walk. After all, we contract so that we avoid all this BS.
Walk now, you know it makes sense

My pappy said to me that its always easier to look for work while you are in work than look for work while your not.

Its like girlfriends, when you don't have one, you can never seem to get one, but then when you have one, more potential seems to come along.

              same with buses

Just throwing in another factor to consider.

Been here 9 months doing work that is far too technical (I'm a PM) and need the fear to get out there and secure a contract relevant to my skill set. I need a little bit of job satisfaction and this is giving me nothing apart from a decent rate (which I know is important but its not everything to me).

I know alot of you will think I'm crazy to turn down an extention if they offered it but sometimes you just know it time.

Another critical factor, its pretty barron round here. out of about approx 50 people in this office there is only one fit bird... Shes looking pretty hot today actually but it won't sway me. I have spent a lot of time like this
