Caterham just reminds me of sad old blokes building death trap kit cars.

Where's the climate control, massaging electric heated seats and automatic gearbox?

Where can you do 250mph and more to the point why would you want to? £890,000 to keep dry and comfy, No thanks. At least a Caterham can be used as a proper sports car rather than a science project with no practical use whatsoever.

I think you have missed the point of a Caterham, they are aimed at enthusiasts and club race drivers not people who see driving as an inconvenience and therefore want to be removed from the experience as much as possible.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

So why do I see some grey bearded bloke with a fire extinguisher as a passenger on every dual carriageway dying of hyperthermia?

          Ugly little cars.

Not only that, but for the price you could have a House, a Caterham for the summer and a 2nd hand Aston Martin.

Santa on his way to a track day? Like I said you miss the point as these are meant as race cars so looks and comfort are inconsequential.

The question I have is why on earth Caterham haven't been able to better it.

Answer: It's really a Lotus Seven!

I think they did try with the Caterham 21 iirc. Which was yet another Lotus rip off, of the Elise!

I'm sure they're fine track cars, but I'd feel about as safe in one on the road as I do in my C5.
Feist - 1234. One camera, one take, no editing. Superb. How they did it

There's a 'classic car' dealers on my commute. They've got a beautiful racing green Morgan.

They're like a caterham, but with a bit of class, n'est ce pas?

Several things should have been killed off ages ago:

                      Star in a crap car
                      Coolwall
                      Pointless 'races'
Pretending to build something A Team style.

I suppose that leaves just the audience full of fit birds. They always line up a few tasty ones right behind the presenters.
Agreed. It needs something injecting into it to spice it up. Always feels like they sit down to plan a show and sit there for hours chewing their pen lids and wondering what to do.
