Last ice age - begun 110,000 years ago and ended around 10-15000 BP.

That's pretty long periods of time. Climate has changed pretty visibly in the last 30-50 years, "coinciding" with heavy human activity that this planet has never known.

It does not even matter if CO2 causes climate change - driving 6L engine inefficient too heavy cars that results in sending of hundreds of billions of dollars to backwards regimes is insane policy that should have been stopped 30 years ago - as soon as OPEC was formed the West should have started getting rid of dependency on oil.

My oil trader mate says oil will never run out, it will get more expensive though.... much more expensive.

It's not a case of it running out its just getting harder and more expensive to get at.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

It doesn't have to run out, which as you say it will never happen. Demand just has to exceed supply before the fun starts, and that could be soon.

That is something the Europeans realised a long time ago, the septics answer was to keep the 6 litre but restrict it and impose a 55 mph speed limit.

The environmentalists would have you believe the earth has warmed dramatically recently but the ski slopes are opening the earliest for 10 years.

It does matter as who do you think will pay for the various carbon reduction policies? Further, who do you think pays for the lost global productivity or bs policies like ethanol gasoline?
I agree on the oil industry, totally corrupt and funding lots of nasty people, not just in the m/e, but why involve this CO2 based fairy tale?
              Bored.
