Fission bombs came first. Had these bombs been in Germany's possession, we would have (presumably) surrendered, and been occupied by Germany. The fittest side won. Would this have been any worse than being invaded by the Romans? Many millions of innocents may have been saved from being killed in a global war, but a minority may or may not have met a gruesome end.Originally posted by Moscow Mule View PostThermo-nuclear war. If we had greeted the Huns with Guten Morgen instead of a barrage of gunfire then we would have had a Europe united under one totalitarian governement with limted regional autonomy, trade agreements and possibly a single currency.
