It was a great day in Cardiff yesterday. 75,000 in both Red and Yellow all commenting on how good the game was. All the aussies I spoke to seemed to have had a great tour indeed.

Booking my flights for the lions test in Durban asap.

Fair enough...but leaping to their defence for a second I would point out that the squad that won the WC were often faced with oppos who would constantly kill the ball (or in the case of SA would resort to out and out thuggery) - which makes it very difficult to play expansive rugby, .

The reason Wilkinson scored so many points during that time was because so many penalties were conceded. The reason for that was to stop England playing....which is fair enough, but with a boot like Wilkinson around it was good that those tactics didn't pay off. Fair enough England didn't always have to kick for goal...but the counter tactic to killing the ball is to make it cost points and keep the scroeboard ticking over. If the oppo still kills the ball anyway then it was hardly England's fault. The sad thing is that it made England look boring sometimes, when having the likes of Robinson in the side - they were anything but.

And I just saw the Wales game - as you say, well done Wales! Wales look great...and they definitely look good for knocking everyone over in the 6 Nations again.

I'd like to make it clear that I'm not welsh.

But I had a welsh grandmother and I might dig her out come the six nations.

Riiiiiight. So showing a bit of disappointment in your countries rugby team (who *are* pants - lets be honest here) means you should no longer be living in the country.

Our (NZ) footy team are rubbish, does that mean I shuoldn't be living here in NZ any longer?

BTW, doesn't the phrase 'Grand Slam' have a nice ring to it?

It does, but not as much as 'world cup'.

Take no notice of AtW, I'm still not sure what that post of his was about. I think it had something to do with joining the euro.

except we have won as many rugby WC's as England. And the NH has won 1 and the SH has won5 .......

Unless you mean rugby league WC... which NZ just won.

Or the 66 WC.. because the poms never go on and on and on and on about that.

Indeed, SA and Aus have done much better, which just proves that the 6n us a seocnd rate competition for second rate countries.

The UK is so used to being losers, they take joy in Aus winning...
