So are we expected to believe that this tiny scrap of sea would be full of fish had we not been in the EU?. Why UK fisihing boats need to go to Iceland in the 70's ?
And if the UK was using the Euro how big would the fishing limits be then?
Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyone

What about nuclear policy. How big would the fission limits be?

The reason I dont jump ship from my country is that I am not an immigrant from another country who presumes to know what is best for the country who has been kind enough to take him in.
I like this country despite a number of serious shortcomings (such as Nu Liebor in power), I don't jump it because I've got a long term stake here and would like this country to be more successful than it is now - frankly UK has been going downhill in the last 50 years and in my view the way things are run it will only be worse.

I am actually agreeing with some things that make sense - such as UK being outside of Schengen zone - geo position of the island makes it feasible to have this extra layer of security, however in my view UK should have joined Euro long time ago and more importantly it should have started playing positive role in United Europe - the time for policy of division is well and truly over.

You're still an old soviet, eh AtW?

It's not a policy of division. Nations are already separate entities. If it's a policy at all, it's of a nation retaining its freedom to run its affairs as it wishes.

Let me ask you, why has the EU tried to hide its federalism for the past 35 years? And who voted for Kinnock and Mandelson to formulate EU policy?

It is - for centuries it was official UK policy to ensure Europe is divided (ie France is not on the same side with Germany) because otherwise it would create mortal threat to UK. Perhaps back then it was correct however right now it is totally wrong.

Sure, you can be as independent as African nations - they do what they want, great stuff innit?

Most likely because of UK's position - frankly I think EU should bite the bullet and either suggest UK to be fully on board or go it alone - UK right now is trying to get the benefits of united market without responsibilities, that's leeching and totally wrong strategy. And don't tell me about more taxes paid by UK than it gets from EU - Germany and France sacrificed far more for EU idea than UK.

If you believe all that, and you believe what you said earlier about the UK going downhill for the past 50 years, why on earth did you come here?

I was exchange student - in a way it was luck, overall I am satisfied with new home though after having lived here for 10 years a fair few things clearly turned out to be worst then "marketing" would suggest, for example when I learnt about average pension in this country I was shocked how small it is.

The positives in this country outweight negatives for sure, but it would be better for everyone is negatives were addressed - starting with Nu Liebor Govt.
