Wow! That's a goer. I've still got my fishing umbrella.Originally posted by norrahe View Postit was THIS big
Back on topic, I once put my CV on Jobswerve or some such, but I didn't even get any nuisance calls. So I removed it and I've never bothered since.Comment

Ah yes, I have had many calls and emails from people wanting a job, a free introduction to clients, a free supply of vendor's manuals, free training, free answers to tech questions, free help in coding .....Originally posted by Fred Bloggs View PostI agree. I have had my Ltd co website for over 5 years and it has lots of case stidues etc packed with great key words that Google finds no trouble. I have had 1 paid day of work from my website in that time. I have had many Engineers stuck for inspiration emailing me or calling me what they always intended to be free advice. Early on I made the mistake of going to a supposed reputable client and looking back on it I told him everything he needed to do to NOT hire me!
Now I just say "if you want to know that, you need to pay me first". They never do........
and wanting me to pay to be included in their listing, or buy printer supplies, buy CD-Roms of addresses that I can spam, take out health care with somebody I've never heard of......
not to mention apply for a permanent job that is no match for my skills on salary too low in a country that I don't have a visa for.....
Compared to all that, I really don't mind being called by agents even if I don't want the contract that they might have

Is it time to wheel out the "how dirty are you" survey again (that gave everyone a nasty virus if they opened it in IE)?Originally posted by SallyAnne View PostZara - I always read your name as "Zara Back Door".
