To me it's more like they are on a timer than being actively managed.
Prehaps the lads and lasses and the control centre get bored and do it for fun I can just see them sticking the 50 limit on the signs and seeing who does/doesn't slow down.

I do always try to stick to the limits, however I still do not know of anyone who has received a speeding fine on this part of the M42.

It's usually an indication of how fast a car is overall. Not many are blisteringly fast to 60, then no poke to a ton and beyond. Unless it's a Caterham go-kart perhaps.

I concede the actual times are pretty meaningless for anything other than giving an indication. 0-100 or quarter mile times (where available) are more useful.

Have you ever driven a performance car?

By performance I mean anything with more than let's say 300BHP?

I own 3 cars, each has a 4.2 litre engine, two are supercharged, two weigh ~2 metric tons.

2 will reach 62 MPH in ~7 seconds and go on to ~140MPH

1 will reach 62mph in ~4 seconds and go on to ~170MPH

When you own cars such as these and learn how to drive and exploit their performance effectively then they prove themselves far better than you sat there with your top-trumps will appreciate.

No. I'm Wilmslow, and demand my free suicide pill.

Admit it, two of those three 'cars' are really trucks. You're Sockpuppet!

2 are range rovers. Both are supercharged. Unless you've driven one, shut the f**k up you tedious little twat!

Sounds like you're in a bad mood. Having to lick your own balls again?

You should learn the difference between me suffering a fool(you) and being in a bad mood because my balls aren't being scratched.

I'm quite happy, I find your lack of motoring expertise to be on a par with that of a certain Milanbenes, who like yourself knows f**k all about cars and matters motoring. In fact, I'd venture that AtW could teach the pair of you a thing or two.

You only know of me what I care to show you.

Following that fact, I don't mind if your conclusions are wrong, you can't know any better.

I could say more but you'll only go dizzy chasing your tail.

You have ventured your opinion and one can only assume based on that opinion that you are ignorant in matters relating to performance vehicles yet that doesn't prevent you from spouting complete bollocks.

                    Might I suggest the following?

"Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt."

This forum would die on its arse if that became the site motto. Just doing my bit keeping it going.
