Some people have taken some time to collate a load of contractor-related information into a web portal (aka CUK). The information is provided free of charge. No guarantee is made that the information is complete or comprehensive.

Having bizarrely relied on CUK as your sole point of reference when choosing to work on an overseas contract, you then decide to complain that the information is incomplete or doesn't meet your needs.

Your post sums up one of the sad realities of life in Britain today - people expect things to be handed to them on a plate, and feel the need to throw mindless tantrums when this doesn't happen.
See my post above- everyone if skimming my post and forming an incorrect opinion.

This website make money from advertising via its contractor visitors- it owes a duty of care to contractors.

Guides are there to create more hits. The overseas guides have content linked google ads = money. Alongisde this there are further external links which are most possibly pay per click.

The people who wrote the article have a banner ad so MAJOR SPONSORS

Maybe if you'd used a less stupid thread title someone might have bothered to read it properly.

CUK isn't your mum, it doesn't have a duty to look after you and hold your hand...

CUK is not a contractor service is is:
            a) for CUK, a web company
            b) for contractors, a place to chat amongst ourselves, and get some information.

Like all information freely available on the internet, it's worth what you pay for it. It can be part of doing your own research, but it can not be all of it (in a way that consulting an accountant might be). Certainly for taxation questions you would want to consult HMRC.

As for the CUK response, it does sound a bit weasely. Of course the advice for any UK taxpayer thinking of working and paying tax abroad is circumstances-dependent, everything is. But IR20 has got to be required reading for any such person: there are IMHO no circumstances where it would not be. So surely not to mention it is an omission, not a circumstances-dependent content orientation.

Maybe you should set up your own site or webpage?

I have read a few of your posts you put up - you were quite offensive to anyone who did not completely agree with you. Believe it or not there are some quite experienced people on here - and treating everyone like a numpty does not help.

No doubt you will not take this in the spirit it is meant - cue the abuse......

Will this lead to more members of the DiscoStu fan club?

Why does everyone blame you Stu? Seems most unfair to me.......

But then life is not fair!
