        Yes but we were married and he had taken best part of 20k out of the joint a/c and done God knows what with it, oh and I'd found out he was having an affair so I think my reaction was fairly easy going!!

              My fingernails and thumbnails are throbbing in agony from pulling open roast chestnuts. It hurts just to type or pick my nose!

              I bought a huge bag of them and have been experimenting with different ways of roasting them. So far I've found that a high temperature works best, 250 deg, for half an hour. But I still don't know the best way to roast them so they pop open are easy to extract.

                Get a tin can and make lots of holes in the sides. Cut a cross in the bottom of the chestnuts and chuck them in.

                Put the can in your fire.

                They'll be ready in 15 -25 mins.
