'Play with your pussy', orders government.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

Oh for God's sake!
Is there any aspect of our lives this horrid, nannyish government won't intrude upon?
My cat is already employed as a PHP coder and he leads a happy and fulfilled life - what more do they want?

Maybe they should give the same advice to parentsCat and dog owners are to be told to provide "entertainment" and "mental stimulation" for their pets under new government advice.
The code of practice also includes advice on diet and providing "somewhere suitable to go to the toilet".
With the same level of threatOwners will not be fined for breaking the rules but failure to comply may be used in animal cruelty prosecutions.Coffee's for closersComment

Why stop at just cats and dogs ?
I mean,, goldfish are valid pets too aren't they ?
And snakes, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, etc.
And what about Xog's Slug Collection ? Ok, so they may be on the move, as they have been for the last 4 years, on their way to 10 Downing Street, but even so, they have rights too.
The document seems too narrow in scope and is very doggist and cattist.Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
