Actually that photo reminds me of what the City used to look like on weekends, back in the 90's. I really did expect to see tumbleweeds blowing down Threadneedle St.

It was worse pre-big bang in 87. Everything shut and the place a ghost town by 9pm weekdays.

I had a flat next to Barbican tube(but not in the Barbican) in 2003/2004. It was nice and quiet then after 8pm and at the weekends. I often used to stroll round the city....
