Mercs are bastards -- they totally changed look of G-class and now I can't be like those Novii Russkii driving in bullet-proof AMG G55. Bastards!

I 'spose since Mercedes prostituted themselves by joining Chrysler they've had to dullify the styling across the range to make it more attractive/acceptable for the US customer base.

which leads one too conclude that the Audi 8 is the only option for somebody wanting mid-range luxury car travel the other contenders have knocked themselves out of contention...

Jaguar - dullifyed for the US market

Mercedes - ditto

BMW - terrible styling

Audi - classic lines

I you buy a car for its looks then you should be looking at the Alfa Romeo range, not BMW.

However, if you want a car that keeps some value, doesn't end up broken down every week and that can actually offer a fantastic blend of performance, comfort and economy, go back to the BMW dealership.
