    Waiting for the RAC

Thought this will make you laugh!

After a humiliating game of Charades with Vodooflux. I needed to get out of the house, only to find I have shut my seatbelt in the car door and it is jammed shut, can not open it at all.

Could climb over the passenger seat but then I could not wear by seatbelt, and what is the betting Mr Plod would spot me if I ventured further then my front drive.

Hubby is out so has not witnessed this stupid act- so in desperation to get out of the house I have just called the RAC.

    1. How long will they take
    2. Will they be able to open the door
    3. If they do, how much damage to you think they will make?

Now i really am fed up

But did he manage to get your car door open after he'd "done it"?

          Where's my coat?

The RAC are great. The AA on the other hand......

(Back in an old permie role I left work at 11.15pm and finally rolled off the flatbed lorry at home at 6.15am. Was on hold for an hour and a half as it was a 'busy night', a third party company turned up to look at my car and they had to call the same number as everyone else to order a flatbed recovery truck.... not a good night)

And what was his technique? Pull on the door with the strength of a man, or something subtler?

I just know I'm going to trap my seatbelt in the car door now. Fortunately I've got a bottle of Iron Brew with me.

Oh god, you've just all reminded me.... I've actually done this before on my first car (a battered Ford Escort). I remembered putting one foot on the car and pulling it with all my might, the bottom half bent out and then the rest of the door came with it.

Can't believe I forgot about that...
