    IT to the rescue?

    http://www.contractoruk.com/news/004034.html

So our beloved masters want IT to take up the economic slack from the financial sector? Well, here's a radical thought for them...why not stop trying to screw people like us into the ground with their taxes and beaurocracy and let us get on with trying to do just that?

Rant over - Hi ho Silver AWAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY.......
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? - Epicurus

New Labour have been promoting IT for over 10 years now. Through incentives for big business to outsource offshore, hand-out of UK work permits for Indian nationals and IR35 to stamp out on "pretend" small businesses.

Now look here, you should know by now that you are not a real business - you are a very naughty boy avoiding his taxes. Now go into the corner say three Hail Gordon's and pay your taxes!

"At its heart, the strategy will tackle the knowledge economy’s pent up issues - how to fund superfast broadband, how to foster IT skills and how to induce mass take-up of IT.

Regulators, civil servants and businesses will respond to Lord Carter on these issues in a report he will prepare, which may conclude that the measures must be enshrined in law. "

I run a business. I hope I get to have my say.......

The awful thing is that they would see that without a hint of irony as a list of their achievements.
