Did he have use of his arms ? If he did it's awful, if it was neck down then that is a different matter.

Though I do think Euthanasia should be practiced on the clientco users.....
20 years? 20 YEARS??!! You're right: I see your POV, now!!!

And that's what I considered. There is no way on God's Earth I would help any of my kids end their lives if they were paralysed. I would support them fully as they transition their lives to deal with their changed ability.
        Older and ...well, just older!!

If he had his arms he could play Rugby games on a games console, also the sport thing is moot as he would have stopped playing after his 30's. Think he was just depressed and would have got over it with some Councelling, medication etc. Did Christopher Reeve just give up!?

I very much doubt that you can just show up at the clinic in Switzerland with a note saying "please help me to off myself", they're bound to have psycologists (sp?) councellors and therapy experts who do their jobs prior to handing the patient over to the kill squad.

Personally I strongly support assisted suicide having seen someone close suffer a very long and painful end with absolutely no hope, thank the deity of your choice for the Macmillan Nurses.
Personally I am very very dubious of doctors and their playing god.

What if it is what they want? If they do not want the transition?
You would rather inflict 50 - 60 years of suffering on them?
You would be happy never to see them again after they turned against you for not helping?
You would be happy to subject them to a life of horrors that you can not imagine?
I am not qualified to give the above advice!

Indeed. Once Pro-Life Mum & Dad have gone to meet their maker, little Johhny will be at the mercy of the World. Oh Dear (TM).

Maybe they might feel different after a while?
