I stayed in a tent on a campsite for four nights a few weeks ago, one mile from the city centre. Cost 6 quid a night included access to very good shower facilities. Saved me a fortune in B&B costs.

4 man tent from Tescos cost me 20 quid.

Following on from the 6 months off thread, do members of the panel have any suggestions for somewhere one can eke out a meagre existence for a long period without having to live in a youth hostel?

(Please don't suggest Wilmslow's spare room, I couldn't take the excitement.)

You may bunk-up with Spike, our resident hedgehog, under our shed. He does leaves inordinate amounts of poop everywhere, so I can't vouch for the cleanliness of your quarters. £50 p.w.
