That's OK. We have all those public sector workers paying taxes that can fund it.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.

              I think so.

Doesnt really matter, its the worst recession since World War 2 and the FTSE is going down, down, down.

King said for the first time yesterday that a U.K. recession ``seems likely,'' comments which sent the pound to a five-year low against the dollar.

So currency traders have just noticed. Hmmm. Better not tell them about the credit crunch.
You get this kind of s**t all the time in markets. First they say the market trades on future earnings, next day someone comes out and states something obvious that is going on already and they lose 10%.
I already figured out the reason for this, and the boom / bust cycle too.
                Bored.

I guess it's the same sort of thing as when an airline pilot says we're not going to crash and die. Darling risked losing his pilots license the other week when he blurted out the truth.

Thank you for flying Labour airways. We apologise for any slight loss of wings.

The market moves by Stealth. It waits until no-one is looking and then sneaks a ride for hundreds of pips.
