Just been approached by a young woman seeking directions to Albion Court in Hammersmith.
"Excuse me, do you know this place?", she asked, pointing to some text on her mobile phone. It mentioned Albion Court and Galena Road: we were standing in Galena Road, a short pedestrian-only alleyway.
"I think it's pretty close by", I said. I looked around and Lo! there was a street sign saying "Albion Walk".
"It must be very close", I said.
"OK", she said, "But I still don't know where it is".
Being a charming sort of person, I walked with her and found Albion Court after about 30 seconds.
"Here we are", I said, turning to go.
"Oh," she said, "I still don't know where it is".
"You're here" I said.
"No", she said, "I mean I don't know what company it is".
"Nor do I", I replied, "Do you know any part of its name?"
"No", she replied.
"OK", I said, "then what sort of company is it?".
"Dunno", she replied.
"Do you mind my asking what what you want with the company?", I asked.
"Interview", she replied.
"Are you late, then?", I asked.
"Dunno... think so", she replied, "It's very important that I get there on time".
"Do you have a contact phone number for anyone with the company?", I asked, expecting the answer to be "No".
"No", she answered.
Our future is safe.
