To avoid the average speed cameras on the motorway all you need to do is to tail-gate a tuck on the first or last camera.

Plan B: Buy a register a car in mainland Europe. Sell it after six months.

Actually you are nearly there. The ground does kill the jumper but only if gravity has got the jumper to the required speed. I'll do a simple experiment...................

right I have just stood up and jumped off my chair. I hit the ground and it didn't kill me, presumably because I wasn't hitting the ground hard enough due to the small jump involved. Right now I'm off to jump off the top of this building. I'll let you know how I go on.
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

      I preferred version 1!

I think there may be a minor flaw in your test technique.

No, get someone to drop you the same distance head first with your head leaning backwards.

No Good - some of them look at your rear plate - esp the one on the A316 near Sunbury.

I've driven through average speed roadworks cameras at 20 over the limit (60 in a 40) and never got a ticket. I don't think they work. Has anyone here ever got a ticket from an average speed camera?

Nope, but then I've never been through one where I'd thought it appropriate to break the limit by a large margin.

A lot of times they are in contraflows where it really is daft to go too fast - even if both sides are limited to 50, you've got a realistic chance of a 100mph+ collision should the chap on the other side do the stupidest thing possible.

Actually folks I invoked my substitute clause. He's well and truly dead!

                      As for

"No, get someone to drop you the same distance head first with your head leaning backwards. "

That is still the force you hit the ground at which kills you, not the ground itself. If you were raised 1mm from the ground I suspect what you describe would hurt but would possibly not be fatal.
