You just will not accept that sentencing is lighter nowadays against any evidence that I or anybody else produces. Perhaps you just want murderers to be treated lightly. Fair enough, but I don't. I want much more severe punishments.
Wrong on the first part. Never voted for New Lie.

Completely wrong on the second - ffs you can't quote evidence as an argument for you when that's exactly what you're being held accountable for. I always try to back up any statements of fact I make here with evidence - I've learned that after a few years, you tend to get caught out if you don't.

The date is irrelevant. The fact is that even according to the figure you found, 120 have been murdered by paroled murderers, which substantiates the figures that I found, which were obviously for a more recent period.

You were dubious at 80, so what are you now at 120 ??!!

        hi there

turns out my mate who i work with used to go to school with him at primary level, and also new him on and off ever since

he used to do drug selling , made 100k a year but blew it all, but basically when he was young he was top of his class, used to be great at mathmatics, his older bro was in trouble with the police and turns out his older brother was being chased along tracks and was actually hit by a moving train, thats where this little bright kid went wrong, obviously hes done a lot of bad tulip since and now finally he's paid the price, having said that i feel sorry for both the families, my mates says his parents are hard working and sound ppl.
This guy is finished for good!

I am still dubious because the reference was for a guy writing a book.
The main reason for the questioning of the figures is that there are some who are in prison for murder who should be in prison for a much darker offence or should be in some sort of care. In the report I found a great deal were child molesters who killed their victims and a number were mentally unstable. These people are not simple murderers.
It is too long a discussion to get into.
I am not qualified to give the above advice!

I happen to agree that sentencing for murder (and most offences) is not long enough but there is a bit of a dilemma because I do see a difference between somebody snapping after years of abuse and a serial killer or child molester who kills his victims. If you can only give them life how do you distinguish.
Current murder sentences with low recommendations for parole devalue the victims. There is more than one victim per murder and all should be considered.

I don't agree. One murder by a previous murderer on parole is one too many. 120 is inexcusable and shows that life should mean life.

If you want further details try looking it up.
