      Inflation is good when compared to the alternative deflation. On this scale it would of course lead to the dilution of the net worth of money, hence the flight to Gold ($920/oz today).

        What I find quite bizarre is that the shops still seem to be absolutely heaving with customers. I went to the Trafford Centre last Friday evening and had trouble parking. Crowds of people in all the shops. Went to Decathlon on Sunday. Never seen it so packed out, and there wasn't even a sale on.

        Mind you, I didn't buy anything in either place. Was just looking. Maybe everyone else was too.

            I did go into an empty pub the other day though. That felt a bit weird. Just the barman and me. I guess everyone else was down the shops.
