    Says me. I said it.

I didn't say the BNP should be banned, free speech and all that. However I'm fully in agreement with banning members of the police force from belonging to any organisation which calls into doubt their impartiality on their conduct with the people they serve.

He showed support for the BNP by wearing a BNP badge. Good riddance. He is clearly a bit of a thickie as that is a proper dumb ass thing to do as a copper.

Maybe it was a bit of stupid humour. we are all guilty of committing that crime now and again

Why just coppers? Why not teachers, nurses, doctors, firefighters, etc.? Why allow any BNP member have any job at all? Slippery slope and, pardon the pun, unpoliceable.

            Hear Hear!

I do disagree with the majority of BNP policies, but on some I do agree.

I think many organisations would have an issue with it, but it would be up to them. The police have decided that they don't want it and that makes sense to me.

Indeed, why not. I've no issue with anyone who deals with the public in a position where membership of that organisation could prejudice their dealings being banned.

I suspect most BNP members don't have jobs anyway, but hey sack em all. Got zero sympathy for the scumbags.

I'd make them all work in asylum and illegal immigration centres

The Police make up their own at-odds-with-democracy rules and that's OK?

Nothing at odds as far as I am concerned with an organisation as important to the public as the police having a rule that says BNP membership is banned.

A racist organisation deserves special treatment.
