I should not have posted in that thread that he started - it did not bother at first, I think I replied to something else there and then he asked why I am okay with personal info being posted around and then it all moved downhill - I never liked people who threaten legal action and stuff, some people do it way too often - I sure took a lot of beating but it never bothered me, however I could not bypass his words as he went way too far totally wrongly.

And I gave him plenty of chances to say it was mistake in the heat of the moment, okay that happens, don't have problem with that.

Good question, I way away for a week and before that for months, it was very productive time too, so I think I will go into hidden mode now again for some months.

Your POV does not coincide with mine, nor obviously the mods and I suspect most other posters on here, though you are entitled to hold it.
We all trade on reputation and if that is brought into question unchallenged we all have a problem.
Most of the time this forum is robust and we all know what is happening, but when someone starts with this kind of tulip it needs stamping on.

Calling Incognito a tosser isn't really slander as it's an anonymous user name and won't identify me. Posting a link to my real identity and then calling me a thief and wife beater is a little bit different.

I ignored that element completely - the issue was not about him posting link to me and suggesting I am some serial criminal, but very specific accusation of my relationship with project members that was totally incorrect - anyone who'd follow project closely would know it is not true. Granted there are plenty dodgy projects out there but I gave him many chances to correct himself but he just continued to dig in deeper

No, I did not lost my cool - I was cool, but I felt the force of getting involved into something I really did not want to - problem is that if I stopped then he'd accusation would remain unanswered, so implicitly I would have to agree with it and I could not agree with that.

I think that because Mr Squirrel mentioned The Law, then the Mods got jittery. I don't blame them. Thing is, if you look at what members say to other members (myself included), then you'll see that many of us could rattle our "I'll see you in court" sabre every minute of the day, and this Forum would then die.
