Nationwide are a bit conservative.
When they where giving out mortgages during the boom they allowed smaller multiples. They also went through about a year when they lost loads of business to competitors because they wouldn't decrease their rates.
They are also stricter about giving out current accounts with overdrafts and credit cards than other institutions.
They are also in the process of buying 2 smaller building societies. If you google you should be able to find the liabilities Nationwide have."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JR -
